Francis J. Reardon

Francis Fran J. Reardon, 91, of Westborough, MA (formerly of Chelmsford and Bedford), passed away December 28, 2014 at The Christopher House, in Worcester after a short illness. Fran was born in South Boston to the late Edward and Mary Ellen (Whalen) Reardon on January 28, 1923. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 46 years, Claire G. Boudreau in 1993; two brothers, Edward and Joseph Reardon, and sister Margaret Munro. He attended Arlington High School and graduated in 1941. He enlisted in the Army-Air Corp in 1945 and had the rank of Sergeant in the 42nd Service Squadron; he served in India. He later went on to earn a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University in Boston. He worked as a Purchasing Agent in NH and MA for many years. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, camping with the family and especially watching the children/grandchildren in their sporting events. He is survived by this four children, Arleen (Reardon) & John Balciunas of Sammamish, WA, Edward & Susan (Genetti) Reardon of Chelmsford, MA, Jeffrey Reardon of Hamilton, MA, and Patricia (Reardon) Flynn of Grafton, MA; and beloved by his 10 grandchildren, Michele (Balciunas) & Sean Case of Ireland; Kelley, Ted, Shawn, Amelia and Emily Reardon; and Christopher, Ryan, Thomas and Caitlyn Flynn; and five great-grandchildren, MacKenzie, Brayan, Keegan and twins Brecon and Cabhan Case of Ireland. He is also survived by one sister-in-law, Irene M. Pond of Franklin, MA. Funeral from Shawsheen Funeral Home, 281 Great Road, Bedford on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 10am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Michael's Church, 90 Concord Road, Bedford at 11am. Funeral Home visiting hours are on Saturday, January 3, 2015 7pm to 9pm and Sunday, January 4, 2015 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm. Family and friends invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Christopher House, Hillside Unit, 10 Mary Scano Dr., Worcester, MA 01605.
