BELL, Patricia "Pat" Was born to parents, George Arpp and Theresa Burns Arpp in Huntington, West Virginia on June 15, 1923. Pat had two older sisters at home to welcome her into the world. She met Roger Leeton Bell after moving to Parkersburg, West Virginia. They married and settled down to start their family. They decided to move west with her sister's family. Their second daughter was still a baby in 1954 when four adults, six children and one dog piled into a brand new Chevy station wagon and headed to southern California. Over a 40 year period, Pat worked in Tucson, Salt Lake City, San Diego and Minneapolis. She was proud of the many awards she received. She retired, from a lifetime career, with the federal government while working for the Veteran's Administration in Minneapolis. She then made her final move to Spokane to be close to her daughters. With her quick wit, one liners, little songs and caring ways she quickly made close friends. Pat is survived by her daughters, Betty (Bruce) Ely and Mary (Derrick) Bell; her grandchildren, Cat Ely, Lisa (Matt) Lindsey, Bruce (Kristi Hauke) Ely; great-grandchildren, Matt and Tanner. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters, Ann (Pete) Colebank and Bob (Charlie) Heldreth. At Pat's request there will no funeral or memorial. She said if she couldn't be there to put in her two cents she didn't want a service. She will be buried with two shiny new pennies --- her two cents! The family wishes to thank both Orchard Crest and Horizon Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to a very special lady. To view Pat's online memorial please go to www.hennesseyfuneralhomes.com.
