Fern Jackson Lacy passed away on January 1st, 2015 at the age of 93. She was born July 8th, 1921 in Westfield, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Hazel Kothmann Miller and Archie Jackson and the granddaughter of the late William Kothmann and Urilda Wunsche Kothmann and Jesse Jackson and Matilda West Jackson.
She attended Sam Houston University in Huntsville, Texas and graduated at age 19, and received her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with a High School Teaching Certificate. For many years, she was in the fashion industry for major stores in Houston as a commentator, in television, on runway, and a photographic model. Her career span covered many happy and interesting years in real estate, business, teaching, and ownership of two restaurants. She was a 50 plus year member of the Eastern Star, a 25 member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, and a member of Berachah Church for more than 50 years.
Her love of GOD was evident throughout her life and she often said her greatest blessing from GOD was the gift of her family. She took great pride in all their accomplishments.
She is survived by her daughter Kim Lacy of Abilene, Texas, her son Kyle H. Lacy of Dallas, Texas, four grandchildren: Dominic Lacy of Dallas, Texas; Jessica Lacy Curs and her husband Dave Curs and their four children, River, Journey, Hazel, and Canyon of Burleson, Texas; Kylette Lacy of Dallas, Texas; Brittany Lacy Ragon and her husband Jered Ragon and their three children, Knightley, Levi, and Esther of Burleson, Texas.
Services were held at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball, Texas with burial at Budde Cemetery on Tuesday, January 6th, 2015 at 10 a.m.Remove from My Saved Tributes
